I’m becoming hopelessly addicted to vertical shooting games! Can anyone point me to some good ones?

Um, I kind of meant freeware vertical shooters.
And I already know about the games “rRootage” and “Noiz2sc.”
Get the MAME emulator for arcades. (just use google). It can play all of those games.
Aren’t Arcade ROMS for backup only and don’t you need to be the owner of one of those ROMS ?
its also legal if you only keep the ROMS for only 24 hours (least if I remember correctly.

So you can delete it, go to the recycle bin and restore it ? Or you could recover the file from the FAT. That would make it legal ? Or is this to much like the “You can show a picture of the source, but not surply the source file itself” theory ?
True, but most of the companies don’t care at all. I don’t care either way, I’ll download the games anyway.
well the technecalities are show, but I think your not allowed to do that, you can only keep/play the roms for 24 hours (in a row). I think the only legal way to get around it is if you download the file again %|

I think there’s an hour in a year, hehe
Are you running linux?
My son likes Chromium. I like it a little too.
I like Frozen Bubble better.
I was about to suggest Chromium … but Grizzly69 got the head start :-?
Even if you are not running Linux, try to get a ported version to your operative system… you won’t regret it!!
But be warned, You will need true OpenGL acceleration, and the game is far far far away from been easy… even on the lowest dificulty level it will give your hand the workout of your life.
Not sure what platforms it’s available for but Ikaruga on Dreamcast is fantastic.
It took me right back to when I was a kid and I spent hours in arcades
Agreed. It’s stunning. The graphics are simply phenomenal too. Once you’ve played a Treasure shooter all others seem to just lack something.
there is a website called http://www.gamehippo.com/ that has lots of freeware games; including a new updated space invaders that I had downloaded about a year ago. It was a really cool version and was made to be a part 2 to the original. It’s title was “rescue from space invaders” That site has lots of free games but it is annoying to see all of the pop-up adds everytime you go to a new page.
