For those who have great knowledge on modeling. I need help on how I should model this part. I want the outlined yellow part to be beveled but the model breaks when I do it. Is there a specific on tackling this one. This is a practice of mine in 3d modeling using the polaroid now+ as my object reference. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
Hi, i think this thread might be useful to you: https://blenderartists.org/t/polaroid-now-3d-model/1411314
I’m currently using this as a reference but I can’t seem to make it work myself. I’m fairly new to modeling so I’m looking out for help on how to do this one.
Cutting the edges does not necessarily cut the bevel because it needs space for it to fit.
This is possible by disabling the Clamp Overlap option.
However, you need to organize the overlap Vertex.
Can I see the before you bevel geometry?
I deleted the modeling.
I think it’s the same because I made it based on the attached image.
If you don’t mind, could you explain how you did it?
I don’t know the exact problem, but it’s a modeling problem.
Disabling the Clamp Overlap option on the bevel will lift the limit.
Presumptive, it is possible that the vertex in that area is not connected to the edge.
Alright now I understand it but I got another problem. Do you have an idea how come the two bevels I circled are with different sizes but they are along the same edge. Thanks for your help!
It could be a difference made by the modeling type, or it could be a problem because the scale of the object is not initialized.
Honestly, I don’t know the exact cause because I didn’t make it.
