I cant figure why my loop cut tool doesn’t work. I tried literally everything and it still doesn’t work vertical on that particular object… thank you!
It’s hard to say exactly without your file, but it looks like that object has n-gons. Loop cuts don’t work on n-gons, only quads.

Are all the vertices merged? I see that you have faces inside the geometry and that may create problems in the loop if the vertices are merged.
Is that box you selected a different object? Is the geometry really separated from the rest? That is what I mean.

I checked everything you mentioner and it looks like the object is n-gons. I created the same one again and now the loop cut works.
