Help me solve a fun and stupid problem

I have an animated image of someone opening a box. I would like to re-model the box in blender with a lid, and put something comical inside the box.

What I’d like to know is, how would you go about matching the perspective and angle of the box? So far I’ve just been rotating and moving the box bit by bit and it never quite looks right. http://i.imgur.com/MfN61Wl.png

See this tutorial:

If it does not fit with, your camera fov is probably wrong. It can also be that there is no accurate solution at all, because the box in source does not have correct perspective. In this case distort your own box to match. If camera does not move, you get a good enough result.

Try using BLAM add-on. You might be required to download some of the earlier versions of blender since I think it doesn’t work quite right with the never ones.
