so I have used an existing model incl. armature and added a different head. I then joined both objects (Ctrl + J). So far so good. Problem is the head (newly added object) is not “connected” to the bones I assume.
Is there an easy way to fix this? A video and the Blender file can be found below…
In your case in very simple answer u need to go weight paint, select HEAD vertex group and paint the head in red. Or go to edit mode, select all head and in vertex group click ASSIGN with 1.0 weight to a Head vertex group.
