Help on scription/thesis-subject "War never brought pea

hiya,
for my dutch classes, I’ve been assigned to do a scription (or thesis, or whatever it could be translated in -maybe someone dutch knows the correct english word? “verhandeling”-) about the subject “War never brought peace”. Since I think this sentence is quite hard to proove (or to decline), I could use some help  .
If you think you have something good to share with me, I would greatly appreciate it.
Examples of wars that ended up in other wars, wars that ended up with discrimination between two parties, other facts that might be usefull, opinions, ideas how to handle this subject, historical sites with info about multiple wars, etc. I could use anything

thanks in advance

maybe these quotes could help you helping me

‘‘Peace cannot be achieved through violence, it can only be attained through understanding.’’
– Albert Einstein

‘‘War never brought peace – it but brings more and greater wars. War is nature’s natural state – it is folly to combat it. Peace should be
considered only as a time for preparation for the principal business of man’s existence. Were it not for the constant warring of one form of lie upon another, and even upon itself, the planets would be so over run with life that it would smother itself out.’’
– Edgar Rice Burroughs (quote is from his book “The Masterminds of Mars”)

do you need to take the afermative side or the negative side.

or can you come up with your own perspective on it.

in my studys at uni it was perfectly acceptable to dissagree with the quote they gave.

you could for example argue that “Civil wars bring peace, while wars of colonisation or land disputes bring more wars”

i think that you just need to formulate an argument and prove that point.

i nearly always take a stance somewhat in the middle, i also get good marks like A- or B+
