Do you want to model the tree youself or would a tree generator be ok for you ?
A nice an low priced tree generator you can find here. Forester/Arboretum is a easy to use
tree generator which produces really cool trees with or without leaves, including UV-map
export. You can download the software for free and play around with it. To enable the
3ds-export filter, you have to purchase it ('bout 30€s)
