Help with a Mandelbulb using geometry nodes

[Blender 3.0]
Hey! I’ve just finished this tutorial on making a mandelbulb fractal using volumetrics, but I want to try converting it to geometry nodes for more versatility with materials etc. I’ve copied all the math over but I’m not sure how I would turn it into geometry.
I’m very new to geo nodes so explain like I’m 5 please lol.

It’s probably not the best case to start using geometry nodes.
Maybe try some simple exercise with GN first to get a better feel of how it works.

Because the technique in the tutorial deals with volume density, even if the math formula can be translated to geo nodes , it’s a bit different.

What we have in GN is some points, edges, faces … you need to adapt the maths to set location of points, instead of outputting density value for a volume.
So , you need to get a good understanding of the math behind the formula, and also at least good basics understanding of geometry nodes … doesn’t seem simple
