This is a support request in disguise. Moved from “Jobs > Volunteer Work” to “Support > Animation and Rigging”

I looked at your blend file. The problem is you don’t have an armature in it. You have all the objects that will represent the bones, but you do not have the bones themselves. The idea would be to actually build an armature or download one. Parent the armature to the object, Then use the objects to represent the bones. Here is a nice free armature to download. www.blendswap.com/blends/view/67243

It seems that you are using something like “Cookie Flex Rig”. Look into youtube about it.
You can also search about rigging with rigify add-on

I downloaded that and have no idea how to get it to work…

The reason I put it in volunteer job is because I want someone to do it for me and not people try to tell me what to do because I’ve posted things like this before and nobody ever gets it to work by just telling me what to do

I’ve gotten riggify to work on many things this is just not working for this one model.

And you won’t find much more assistance, because what you are basically asking us to do is making your skeleton from scratch, as there is no skeleton in your .blend.

That nice collection of meshes you have in the last layer is not a skeleton, even if it looks like one.

Add->Armature->Single Bone should be your first step.

I’ve stated that i’ve been using rigify… that not making it from scratch.

If that’s true, where is the armature? Your file has none, and Rigify creates one.

I can build you a basic armature that will work, but there will be no fancy stuff to it.

sorry I cant do it. your mesh has a script on it that will prevent anyone adding their own armature. This is not tlhe first one of these I have run across. I have no idea where you got the mesh from. but you are going to have to go back to them to get it to work. if you doubt me, bring up a text editor while the blend is open and look at the scripts
