Help with faces;

  • Hello I wonder if anyone can help me with faces?
    I am following a tutorial and I am meant to press F to join the ring of vertecies, but it is not creating a face like in the tutorial, here is what its suppose to look like imgur.com/tWI0iM6, here is whats happening i.imgur.com/37nVVWo.png I think its a difference in the versions of blender?

Edit : Why is it doing this (first video) and not creating a face like (second video)

It’s because you have one little button pressed accidentally:

It causes a different viewing of the modifier so that you are editing the shape with the un-subdivided edges wrapped to fit that shape.

Omg thank you!, Yeah I had that on to make it easier to select faces, someone told me that was easier anyway lol. Ive been trying to fix the face for literally half a day yesterday. GOAT.
