help with grass!!!

hello everyone i need some help with grass in blender game engine every time i start up the game engine the grass particles dissapear and just the green floor shows anyone can help me plzz!!!

The particle system doesn’t work in the GE, you will have to alpha map some textures to some planes to achieve that type of grass.

If you like how your grass looks, you can always render a shot of it and make it into a texture.

Strand particles aren’t supported by the BGE, besides millions of polygon grass strands in an open field scene would choke the BGE.

ohhh okay thank you all ill have a go at some stuff and see what happens lol

also i know this isn’t posted in the right section of the forum but i am trying to
make water trickle down glass and some how loop it so it continues to make it look like it’s winter outside if anyone can help me plz lol.

thank you :]

in the GE? You have two options. To do it the old way (moving uv coordinates through python), click on “resources” in my sig and scroll down to “fake ge water”. Its a short tutorial posted here by the red hand. You can just copy-paste the script and you’re pretty much good to go. The only problem I’ve had with it is it eats up processor, since all of the uv movement is done in a python controller.

The new way takes advantage of the fact that the GE can now play video textures. I’m not sure how this works, and I believe the feature is still in SVN, but it may be more efficient.

ohhh okay thank you ill have a look and play around and see what happens lol.
