Help with modelling bird wings


Whats a simple way of modelling birdwings, the model is going to be static and not animated+?

Using weight paint to remove hair from the eyes, somehow the eyeball doesn’t show up but haven’t looked deeper into that issue as of yet.

I would do it that way:


modelling the main feathers. Use a shrinkwrap modifier with projection x or the axis you need… some different offset for each feather and a lattice to manipulate the ending of the wing. Extra things can be done with hair particle system.
You can also apply the modifiers, merge the feathers to one mesh and use the proportional editing to model some more detail.
