Help with painting object in blender please! :)

Going to attempt my first project that includes objects that will be “painted” in blender and I have a few questions…

  1. How do even paint right onto the 3D mesh? a 2D unwrapped mesh would work as well…

  2. Is there a way to create a bump/normal map with that painted texture?

I know these questions are kinda newbie-ish but I’ve never dealt with texture painting in blender before. Thank you :smiley:
