Help with scene?

I’m trying to figure out the best setup for this picture. I create two .exr files for the background and one with the ship. I’m looking to do something on a more bigger scale then Star Trek.

Here are two pictures. Can someone tell me what they think or any suggestions before I render the animation. I’m using both Cycles and the Blender Internal. Blender Cycles for the ship is 2048 passes

Why are all the edges jagged?

It’s the antialiasing I think which I can update. Also uploading the .jpg and .png diminishes the image quality so it loses a lot when I post the picture.

I think I fixed it. I have to blur all the layers once combined other then the ship layer.
