Help with sockets

Ok, when I try to use sockets in blender:

s = socket.socket(socket.AF_INET, socket.SOCK_STREAM)

it gives me the error:

AttributeError: ‘module’ object has no attribute ‘socket’

I have python 2.4 installed on the system. Should I have python 2.3 installed? Or is this some other problem. Have my python path set right and my Blender version is 2.36.

Blender 2.36 only works with Python 2.3x AFAIK. And wouldn’t you have to put:

import socket

in the script too, to be able to use the module?

Yes I was doing “import socket”… I just forgot to put it here. Thanks! =)
