I Was Trying to download the contents on the cd from the book mentioned above. And I have to change the enviroment on my computer. So, if any one has read this book,PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEASE

i dont understand your problem, you got a book with a cd - so what? then the book says you have to do something with your environment, im shure there is a description in the book of what you exactly have to do!

  • how to change/access environment variables

if blender is there you should be able to open up command prompt (Windows key +R, or Start menu —> Run —> cmd) and type blender and have blender startup

if its not running, there should be something in the environment variables called PATH (or path)
put the location of where you put blender there after the semicolon eg: ; “c:\program files\blender foundation\blender” ;

after that’s done, you should be able to render from the command lineand do stuff like that.

Edit : I think blender , and this is why the post is about blender and environment variables :slight_smile:

What do you mean “You have to change the environment on your PC”? Change it from what to what? More information is required before you an get an answer.
