help with weight painting

i need some help with wieght painting could anyone point out a tut on it and i would like to know how to split a mesh to 2 diff objects

To sPlit a mesh into two seParate Parts (or Pieces if you will), in edit mode, select the verticies of one part and then press P

Select the verts you want to separate, and press p.
