Anyone know if there is a 2D/3D model painting software I could get to use with Blend?
I have Blender 3D and I need to know if there is one that can be used with open source and so I can also use a digital pad and mouse with it to color and design my models easily.

A model painting software? Well … Blender? 
As long as you unwrapped your mesh, you can paint it in blender if you wish (not sure it takes pressure into account) - or as OTO suggested, Gimp, or even Krita (http://www.koffice.org/krita/ )
