Ok well that might be a bit much for me. I’m still in high school. And we don’t have a good art supply store where I live, but we often make little day trips to a bigger city, so I’ll check there next time.
So. What type of mannequin should I look for? Wood, plastic, what?
I have to agree on the CRT option. Mine is about 10 years old, a Sony Trinitron that I paid a small fortune for, but the color on that thing just kicks ass. I would also recommend beer and hookers as good things to invest in.
EDIT: High school? I missed that part. In that case, hold off on beer and hookers for a few years.
Sometimes it’s easy to get bogged down in trying to ‘get better at something’ by reading, etc. which is helpful to a point, but in the end it mainly comes down to how much you do the thing in question. So get blending, drawing, etc.
