Hello, I am new to Blender and I am currently facing a very steep uphill battle.
Basically here’s what I am trying to do.
I record a gameplay videoand save it as an .avi file. It’s usually around 50 GB.
I currently use VirtualDub/Handbrake to compress it depending on the video. If the video doesn’t have more than two sources of audio (voice + game) then I use Handbrake else VD.
The above tools are great if I am only doing one gameplay video.
Now I am looking into adding pips into my gameplay videos - once my gameplay video finishes, it’ll have three smaller video frames playing altogether for around 60 seconds.
I am also looking into creating like a top 10 type of videos where I mash up different videos (top games of 2012).
I also have a couple of questions.
When starting Blender (2.64), I am taken into a default layout with a 3D cube.
To my right are dimensions settings.
So I have this set to 1920x1080 which means that my output file will be 1080p right? My input will be 2560x1600.
I usually set the frame rate to 29.9 FPS.
What I don’t understand is the end frame. When I switch the editor to the video editor and then add a movie that’s 30 mins long this doesn’t automatically change to the end of that video.
Now that I’m in the Video Editing view I am confused as to why whenever I add a movie the ends don’t line up.
If I want to process the whole movie, do I change the ‘end frame’ to what the length is? In this example my longest length is 12180. Does that mean that my end frame should also be 12180?
