Herbert's First Day



A fun little character adapted from a sketch that grew out into full scene.

Sculpting the character in Blender 2.9 and using Quad Remesher to get a rig friendly mesh. Rigged using various constraint’s and lattices for the eyes.

Holy smokes that rocks! And I love the subtle details like fly legs moving/scrunching up. Wow! Great stuff!

The client work I do is strictly industrial. Although it can be fun and even challenging at times, it doesn’t scratch that creative itch I have deep inside. Damn I wish I could do stuff like this for a living…

Thanks! I think it took about 5 days of a few hours a day to make, it took about 2 minutes a frame at 1920x1080 to render.
