Hey guys, how'ya doing?

Just checking in to see what’s going down in Blenderland. I saw this really nice looking black&white boat render a while back… Good stuff!

Anyways, I’ve entered the new CGChallenge over at cgtalk, so if you feel like checking out what a poor old ex-blenderhead is up to there, just have a look ----> http://www.cgtalk.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=81242

BTW, it appears that our fav blenderer Basse is planning to do some stuff there as well… BgDM maaaaaaybe had some plans too.

Have a good one!

LOL. Actually, I have an idea. I’m just gonna do some sketching out of it today. Not gonna say anything about it yet though.

I finally have some inspiration after a mental block. So this will be fun.

Again, good luck to you in the challenge. Glad to see you popping in again too.

BgDM

hey good luck with the challenge guys! It’s nice to see blenderheads participating against the guy of cgtalk  We are taking over

I wish I could also participate…but I don’t have time…maybe for the next challenge

i wont repeat myself (as i already posted on cgtalk) but yea, its really cool that blenderheads are taking part in contests like that - the cgchallenge contests are some of the best known.

Groovy! Don’t let me miss that sketch when it makes its first public appearance…

Nice to hear from you again Jamesk.

Shame you have to be a Cgtalk member to see whatever it is your doing.

Maybe you could upload it somewhere else and give us a link…

Oh… Are the attachments inaccessible if not logged in? Well, I’ll post ordinary inline images from now on anyway, so that will probably not be a problem…

It will be one or two days before that happens though.

My harddrive finally took the opportunity to die on me totally - 2 gigs of textures plus all of my scene files, models and everything from my last three years of 3D down the drain. And no backups of course!

I managed to get my old 3 GB drive running, so I installed Win NT (doesn’t need as much space as W2K) and put Cinema back onto it. I’m just glad I had not yet started actually modeling anything for the Challenge…

So, my system is at least useable. But all my old things are wiped off the face of the earth. For all eternity.

It’s a bit sad perhaps, but I try to see it as a fresh start. I’m only too happy that the script and storyboard for eXo.Entity was made the old fashioned way with pencil and paper

To make things easy for you guys - here’s my final concept before starting to actually model this thing:
