Brave isn’t new, it’s existed for years and has a very active userbase

There have always been lots of search engines, and for many years now Google® has been among the worst. It was among the first, but it has since been thoroughly “bested.”
Online researchers also often use and maintain curated collections which are divided into a formal taxonomy. New entries are added to those collections by hand.
