Hi Can someone help me to Add transparent label to bottle along with frost glass shader
do you have a bottle to apply it to?
That is tricky, cause the glue from the label smoothed the surface, and this cancels the frost effect.
Here is a way to fake this, i hollowed the bottle. I would do try it with a solid if you dont need it.
I always ( up to this point) prefer to separate labels, and shrinkwrap them to whatever they are on…far better to get roughness/ transparency and all those little things that make a transparent label difficult…
The jar is just a Glass Shader… ( I just had one laying around…)
LABLE (matched roughness values only) but you can just as easily add in the textured bump to each, with scale adjustments for the label)
( didn’t add a solidify modifier to the jar )…so that’s why it looks opaque
With Solidify
I do think in this particular case, because of the way that the label interacts with the frosted finish of the glass, it makes sense to include the within the shader of the glass.
you can see how where the label is applied, it effectively reduces the roughness of the frosted glass. you could even get fancy with the patchy application of the glue, as seen in the photo reference.
This would be my approach (all in one material). A bit complicated node setup, but not too bad, although it could use a bit more enhancement.
