With a little bit of dispute and a nice stone texture, you too can turn that ol’ uv sphere into a rock. :smiley:

I know this didnt take me very long to make, but i just thought i’d try to come up with the best stone that looks something like this(below is a real image… i was comparing them… cough lol),

btw, this took me around 25min to render with oversampling set to 11. Then again my machine isnt a beast.

The point of this is just to teach newbies how to better themselves with dispute and texture. I didnt make it to make it all photorealistic or i could have made it look more real… as far as lighting, terrain, scenery, the whole deal. Its just meant to be a lil educational… and to show off a nice rock. :smiley:

first wheni saw the last image because the first doesnt load
i was quite impressed. perfect composition, perfect light,
natural surface details, but in 25 wow fast!

i thougth thats a great work lol, didnt see the first image icon.
the image doesnt load so i cannot see you digital work!

Server is down for a few minutes… so i upp’ed the image on imageshack.
