I’m wondering how I get a hinge style joint for my blender rig. Essentially, how do I get it so that I can move the neck bone and the head bone stays pointing (by default) up? I have two bones in the neck and above that is the head bone and below that starts the spine. Thank you for any service you can provide.
Turn off “Inherit Rotation” for the head bone.
I would make the head a child of the root bone and point-constrain it to the body, along with an optional orient constraint from the body as well (triggered by a “follow” property).
Ya I did something similar involving child constraints and turning off inherent rotation. Thanks for the help it is always a simple problem with me.
