Holding objects

Hey guys,
I’ve got an animation question. I’ve started learning to animate and i’ve run into a problem.
I have my character holding a guitar mid-animation.
How do i parent the guitar to the character’s hand mid-animation?

By using a constraint on your object.
And by animating the influence of the constraint you can free the object again.

To use a special “holding bone” in the armature can give more control:
