Holdout in comp

Since I don’t use cycles (which has a holdout material) I don’t have any idea how to create holdout…
Is it possible to make holdout in comp? Have a defined object/material to be removed from alpha channel?

I’m trying to do this in octane (subtracting matID color of selected object from alpha) but at best the objects become semi transparent and it for some reason also affects other objects…

So is it possible to “create holdout” in comp in blender?
