hollow object with voronoi pattern wall

Hello
I try to create hollow objects which have only a voronoi pattern wall mesh.
I created a solidified cube with particles in the volume. Then I used the cell fractrue tool to break it in peaces, which results in a very nice voroni wall cube. Now I would like to get only the sharp edges to form an organic spider web like connections. Just the edges of the individual peaces like wireframe.

Could someone help me how to do this?

Select all vertices and X / delete only faces
or
Select all edges and press Spacebar. Search for wire and select Wireframe. Look in the toolshelf or press F6 to adjust the wireframe settings
or
Give it a ‘Wire’ material

The best option really depends on what you actually want to achieve.

First, make sure to disable “Apply Edge Split” and to set the Margin to 0 in the Cell Fracture add-on. (Less problems to deal with…)

Fracture, join all the pieces and then you can start to work. You remove the doubles and use “Limited Dissolve” until you get a clean result. (Keep the faces as long as possible. It helps for the “Limited Dissolve”.) A bit of manual tuning to remove the last unwanted edges and to merge a few vertices here and there. Rinse and repeat… Finally, with a Skin modifier, you can get something like this:

My choice for the starting points for the Cell Facture wasn’t the best… but the result is quite nice already.

Thanks for this answer. it looks grate. I actually tried the skin modifier before, but it always crashes blender. Maybe it is because there are to many verteces.

Add a solidify to the cube before you fracture it and apply the modifier. Now run Cell fracture and it will fracture a hollow cube.
