Hollowing out a blender model for 3D printing

Hello,

So I have modeled a mobius ring shape and plan to 3D print it as a bracelet off shapeways, however the cost is very high due to the volume. I want to hollow out the insides and give the walls a thickness of 0.8mm. I have been searching everywhere for a way to do this, but I have not been able to find an answer. I would love to be able to do this to reduce costs for all future 3D prints.

Also, any tips to help reduce cost during 3D printing would be helpful

thanks!

Moved thread from Blender Discussion forum to Support / Modeling forum

If you hollow something out there needs to be a hole for the support material to drain from.
