This is a quick little project I’ve been doing as part of an English essay I have. It’s based on Robert Frost’s poem: (Home Burial). It’s progress can be seen in this thread.
My render shows the husband alone, after his wife leaves him. He’s unable to see how his words wounded Amy, and looks at the remains of his child’s grave. Nature has caused the rocks to crumble down, the same way they rotted his fence and took away his child. His covered face prevents us from looking at the expression he has, just like his monotonous tone in the poem prevented Amy from understanding his pain. Before going to look for her, he will need to think and evaluate his mistake. -excerpt from Walking Out, by me.
I like it but seriously needs to have the light done much more orange and coming from behind him. Just as well you might want to increase brightness and contrast a bit to make it look more like a photo. Great work otherwise!
I really think if you continue to work on your modelling and lighting skills this shows tremendous promise. It isn’t the most exciting composition I’ve ever seen (that’s one of the great things about 3D modelling - you’re not stuck with a single composition - you can always try alternative viewpoints), but for something that was pulled together quickly to evoke a particular mood I think you have done superbly well.
