Suwa Sewana is a serene wellness and eldercare facility designed to blend minimalist architectural forms with lush, restorative courtyards. The layout prioritizes open-air corridors, natural sunlight play, and central spiritual elements to foster tranquility and community.
Designed and rendered under an extreme 36-hour sprint, this project involved adapting last-minute architectural revisions directly from Revit into Blender, constructing dense vegetation scatter systems, and balancing high-fidelity lighting performance within strict VRAM constraints.
Key Project Highlights
-
Central Courtyard Sanctuary: The heart of the facility features a raised granite reflection pool and Buddha statue framing the main walkway, surrounded by scattered natural flora and framed by wood-finished structural columns.
-
Biophilic Rooftop Integration: Integrated planter boxes along upper-level walkways feature dense, realistic foliage to soften concrete sightlines and bring greenery to every floor.
-
Lighting & Atmosphere: Clear daylighting setup showcasing natural shadow plays across open corridors, textured white masonry walls, and polished stone finishes.
Technical & Production Breakdown
-
Software Pipeline: Autodesk Revit (BIM Layout) → Blender (Scene Assembly, Replacing Doors & Windows, Scattering, Materials, & Lighting)
-
Render Engine: Cycles (OptiX GPU Acceleration)
-
Optimization Highlights:
-
Geometry management for 9.6 Million Triangles across 750+ objects.
-
Real-time camera frustum culling and object isolation to keep render memory within an 8.0 GB VRAM limit (peak usage: 7.4 GB).
-
Strategic depth-of-field and focal composition on key detail stills.
