i never liked hotmail, dam login system kept killing my account. so i now use gmail but had a yahoo and a netscape email.

Hotmail sucks, but it’s just free email, what do you expect? I mostly use it for crap I don’t want to litter other email accounts with, or when I need an alternate address for whatever…
Gmail is scary.
The best way to go is with an email provided by your ISP. The people who give you Internet are by far the most supportive and reliable people to host your email. Sure you probably won’t get a GB of space, but does anybody really need a GB of space anyway? If you get spam, delete it. If you have old or important emails you would like to keep, save them on your computer and then delete them from your inbox.
No complaints about your POP3 account or no complaints about Hotmail? Because you sure seemed to be complaining to me…

Also, I have to reenter my password every time I log into Hotmail. I have it set to automatically log me in, but it seems to need to confirm my identity EVERY $#%^ING TIME. ARG.
valarking get thunderbird and set it up with hotmail. that will get rid of the password annoyance.

I just use hotmail as my trash can (as in-fact that is what hotmail is). If there is anything that I need to give my email to that I don’t care very much for, I give it my hotmail email.

When you say don’t trust thunderbird or ‘those programs’ I assume that you mean its cousin firefox and all other programs produced by the mozilla project. You do know that when the dept of homeland security issued a statement urging americans NOT to use IE because of the severe security dangers it poses Firefox/Mozilla was on the list of acceptable substitutes?
I trust Mozilla/Firefox/Camino/Thunderbird a lot, but not so much that I would rule out them having some holes. I don’t trust IE and Outlook AT ALL.

I used Hotmail only for 1 thing, that’s MSN and to describe on websites which spam I don’t want in my gmail box 
It’s more a mailbox for sign in on certain places and send the spam to there.
I check it ofthen to delete the spam and to keep it active, but further I do nothing with it.

lol I once mistakenly type hotmale and let me tell you it was painfully disturbing which happen like a long time ago and I was new at the computer thingy.
oh and I only use hotmail cuz of msn messenger.
