How about a Writing Subforum?

I propose we create a new subforum especially for writers to display their stories, scripts, screenplays, to discuss their theories and showcase their ideas.

I believe this would be beneficial to everyone who is busy writing for their short films or large-scale projects or even professional paid work. It would also encourage users to involve more thought and consideration into their stories.

If anyone believes this to be a good idea, or a lousy and foolish one, say so now.

I think that’s a great idea.
There can be a lot of constructive criticism everything from general form and style debates to story and literary analysis.

It’s not a topic I think a lot of artists here care for too much, which is probably why it’s a good idea to provide an outlet for discussion about it, and rather than going to some other site full of strangers to discuss the writing then coming here to discuss the art+animation which would seem disconnected.

Thank you, ConsideringthePickle. I really think this would help out this forum. I’m sure plenty of people have stories they want to discuss and have critiqued and studied by others – much like we do with all of our other creative work.

Any other supporters?

I personally think it a great idea. As a writer myself I would love a section of the forum dedicated in particular to the work that we do. It would be a nice change to break the old cycle of proof reading/correcting/re-reading…

I don’t think this is a half-bad idea. It’s a little OT, but it could be useful. It would let people crit scripts and such stuff, and help others take into consideration the animation-intensity of their scripts

Nice idea
