How can I add a mesh to a mesh? FIXED

I have a seperate foot model and a leg model, how can I join them? Or at least copy the verts from one to another? i can find split and rip OK but can’t find the tool to go back the other way?

edit: yeah you search for the right word, and the word is JOIN! ctrl - J
Sorry for loss of bandwidth

If you can merge, how do you pull apart? Maybe that will solve my colouring problem that, even though plenty of people have helped my with it IT STILL WON’T WORK! (I can’t give a single object more than one material)

Hello Kiah !

Have you tried the following tutorial ?

I had the very same problem where I was attempting to apply two different materials to the same mesh but couldn’t figure it out.

Hope this helps you out !

Best of Luck !

Well I tried that tutorial before, but it didn’t seem to work. It won’t hurt to try again though. However I came across a problem where I was modelling a queen, and a crown. I wanted to add a diamond to the crown, but I couldn’t because I accidentally made the queen and the crown the same object so now I can’t make the diamond because subsurf turns it into a spherical shape. Can some one show me how to do the opposite of ctril + J. Also, I seem to have one more problem with blender: How do you import a blender mesh into another blender mesh so that you can have two different projects in one .blend file?

Part 2 is Append to add other objects, just search through the folders imbeded in the blend file for the category of Object and select the mesh you want. And to part 1, look up split in the edit menu.
