Good vid but yeah way too much polycount for what i’m trying to do. I ended up moving a loop out a little and it makes it not so obvious now, i lose a bit of the sharpness but its a decent trade off. many thanks.

Hello, please share your file so that we can give a try: https://pasteall.org/blend/

Sure, here you go. If you can figure out how to avoid pinching it will help me with all the other parts i have too…

so you can do it this way:

you could use an Array modifier with Object Offset (here an empty at the center) to make the whole shape:

Yeah, that’s the way I initially did it but I think mine was too low poly. So the answer is more poly.

Thank you for your help, If it’s not too much, would you take a look at this one too? I posted it a few weeks back but had no replies.

Basically I need to combine these two cylindrical shapes but I cant avoid triangles which is causing…pinching. I’ve been trying for ages to eliminate triangles but die to the way the cylinders meet, I’m not sure there is a way.

Understand if you dont want to, it wasn’t the original question after all, but here’s the blend file just in case. Many thanks.

edit: Im’ giving a try

I did a concept mock-up for a car and this part was the rear wheel arch.

probably needs some adjustments but seems to work fine this way but I redid it from scratch (with two 32 vertex circles, but you can delete some edge loops once you see that they are useless). The file here.
