How can I create a gentle radius relief edge around the circle

Hi,

I’m very new to Blender but have some 3D experience with Caligari Truespace. I’m about a week into starting to learn Blender and am trying to create a gentle radius around the edge of the circle on the top side of this block.

I’d be greatful to get some direction on how to go about this. Bear in mind I’m new to Blender and still learning all the terms so you might have to be a little more verbose in your explanation.

Select the edge and Ctrl+B to bevel by then moving your mouse. At the bottom of the toolshelf (shortcut T) or F6 you also have the option to set the bevel offset and number of segments.
