i downloaded the latest version that came out 2 days ago but there is no option for the cycles add on. im using mac osx and version 2.6a.
it doesnt come out until two months from now, but you can go to Graphicall.org and download a blender Cycles version from there…thats how i got mine…also you can have muliple versions of blender on 1 computer so you can keep both
oh ok, i got an email from blender guru saying it came out in a couple days. i tried the link but couldnt get cycles to work at all on my old macbook and it was very grainy on the mac pro tower. I should probably wait until its officially released. thanks though
Tried to raise the samples value in the render context?
Have you tried this? wiki.blender.org/index.php/Dev:2.5/Doc/Building_Blender/Mac It is an awesome tutorial. But takes some time.

Cycles crashes on my OpenSuse11.4 LINUX box when I use a UV texture. I’m trying a rebuild from source at the moment but that’s not why I’ve called you all here.
Can Admin please add a cycles forum topic, it’s a hot thing at the moment and likely to stay that way as the textures and materials are completely different from what we are all used to. It would be great if we could view all the discussions without hunting for answers
Okay, compile from scratch solves the crash, took a while though
