How can I import this 3DS file?

Hi all,

does anyone know of a way how I can import this 3DS file?

I tried the 3DS import from Blender, but it fails.

You’re probably having this problem:

I don’t think 2.40 has it, it’s new to 2.41.

Thanks. That didn’t solve it for me though. I’ve contacted the author of the script; maybe he has some suggestions.

Hi B@rt,

If you have a copy of Wings 3d, you can import into that and export as a Wavefront.obj. Then you will be able to import that file into Blender.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I’m writing a post about free model repositories so Blender users have to be able to use the objects
