How can I make an environment texture?

ok, so I don’t know if this is possible, but I’m trying to find a way to creat an environment texture (that will be applied in the world node setting) from this imagine

and make it look like an hdr

So, like this I suppose

So, does someone know if its possible?

Thank you and I’m sorry for any errors in the post, english is not my first language

from creative shrimp… just googled it.

If you want to convert a cubemap to equirectangular map using blender:

  • Setup cube in center and create a textured emission material for it. Basically, just make the cube “work”.
  • Add camera and set it to equirectangular, ±360 and ±180, with a 2:1 aspect render dimension aspect.
  • The rendered image will be suitable for environment mapping. LDR is sufficient for your image, HDR not required.

Thank you! what did you google exactly? It’s not very clear. But thank you

I’m gonna try right away! Thank you very much!!!

ok, soooo when you say “±360 and ±180, with a 2:1” Are you referring to latitude and longitude, and proportion of the rendered image? Sorry but thank you for your help

I think it was “hdri in setup blender” :face_with_monocle::slight_smile:

You got it, just setup the equirectangular panorama camera and render out an .exr that is twice as wide as it is high.
