How can I match the camera settings from Cinema4D in Blender ?

Hello,

I need to copy the settings from a Cinema4D camera to a camera in Blender.

The main settings needed from Cinema4D are:
Focal Length, Aperture Width and Field Of View.

I’m guessing the lens property of the Blender camera is equivalent to Field Of View,
but I don’t know how to tackle the other settings.

Thanks,
George

I think I found a solution: the awesome BLenses(http://home.metrocast.net/~chipartist/BlensesSite/index.html) script.

I entered the apperture width from Cinema4D. I know image aspect ratio should be 16:9 (~ 1.77777778)
so I used that to calculate the apperture height. Pressed Calculate & Set Image A.R. and that returned the expected ratio. Then I pressed Calculate & Set FOV, which returned the exact FOV the Cinema4D camera had and that was it.

Thanks K. G. Nyman for the great script

You’re very welcome! Glad to hear it’s getting some use.
