How can i select...

Correct me if i’m wrong, but isn’t there some sort of shortcut key or function for blender to select all edges on a model that do not change the shape of the mesh whatso ever?

The reason i’m asking is i have a model that is triangulated. but it was made in a way where it was quads and someone triangulated it after and called it done. these extra edges are what i want to select to dissolve quicker than manually selecting them all.

the edges don’t alter the shape of the model at all, and i feel like i remember there being a way to select all these kind of edges all at once to save on poly count.

There is a tris to quads tool (alt+j) and the selection tool you were probably thinking of is select > select similar > face angle. Either could do the job.

Yes! the select similar was what i was talking about, but wow! that Alt J was like magic!
Thank you so much for that
