How can I solve the array & curve modifier problem?


I made a road with some vertices.

I converted these vertices to a bezier with ALT+C, then “Curve from Mesh/Text”.

Then I made a simple road with a plane. Added Array and Curve Modifier. I selected the path.

And this is the result:

The problem here is, that the road is not flat. One side is up and down. How can I do a flat road?

Curve settings, twisting: Z up. Completely flat: 2D mode.

Converting to curve doesn’t create a bezier curve but a poly curve. The spline type would have to be set separately to bezier.
