How can mesh array on a curve ignore tilt in this case?

Hi!

I am trying to make a basic rail, but ran into an issue. When I apply an array of rail mesh alongside a curve, the placement is done ok. But as much as I want that array follow the elevation, I would like to ignore the uphill tilt somehow. So it would be straighten up.

Because it looks a bit drunk!

Can anyone assist, please? Thank you!

Following a curve you will always have a displacement because of the curve. You can make a curve object, convert it to mesh, parent the object you want repeated to the new curve mesh and then go to object properties and go down to instancing and hit verts. This too has its caveats that you will have to work out but it is a way to keep things “straight up” but their orientation will always be that of the original object.
