is there a technique to create flits or slits (or whatever the correct word is) properly like between a cardoor and carbody? i thought of making edges visible as dark lines in the rendering, but how?
i thank you, though i’m sorry, i can’t see yet how to make a single wire or an edge visible as a clearance between door and carbody without showing the entire wireframe. any idea?:o

The small clearances are usually a result of modeling the body panels as separate objects. Have a look at the latest BlenderArt magazine, issue #8. There are some excellent tips on car modeling.
