How do I animate a Lattice?

Hi,

I created a UVsphere and a Lattice.
I enabled the Lattice modifier.
I can sucessfully reshape the UVsphere by selecting and moving the vertexs of the Lattice.
When I try to animate it I press Ikey and select Lattice from the menu.
Nothing appears on the Action Editor.
I can move to other frames by mousing over the Action Editor and pressing the UP Arrow key but cannot create the key frames.
Please Help

it will be easier to rig the lattice with an armature - then animate the armature

select some verts - press Ctrl H > create hook to Empty
if you drag the empty around the verts will move with it
in 2.49 you will need to parent the empty to a bone

in 2.5 you don’t need the empty you can hook the verts directly to a bone by choosing it’s name in the drop down box on the Hook modifier
(don’t forget to press the reset button)
