How do I create a cloth?

Hello. I have a hard time trying to create a cloth. Here you see:

that when I play the simulation the cloth crumbles, or it sometimes goes through the object Please someone help me detail by detail how to create a cloth perfectly, I’m a beginner,

I assume is it either the quality steps of the simulation, the not applied scale(crtl+a) or the objects are not reallife scale.
