How do I do this, is it even possible?

I am making some animations for a game and i wanted to know if theres any way to achieve what I’m trying to do.

Its for the armature and the object. Is there any way to restrict the movement of the armature so it wont go past a certain point? And is there any way to do the same thing with an object (collision detection I guess) so it will also be confined to a certain range of motion?

If that is possible, heres another question I had.
When bringing an arm back from a forward position, will there be a way for the armor to follow the arm like a child when it reaches a certain point?

I don’t know of a way to put constraints on the rotation of bones

there isn’t an automatic way to make armor follow a bone [in the fashion a loin cloth would follow your legs], presumably you could use the action constraint… but it’d be easier to just animate it by hand.
