How do i find info about built in blender ui to customize it?(like add a button to a panel))

I was watching a scripting for artists video and he right clicks on the 3d cursor and selects “edit source” i tried that on a different section and blender says “button is not from script cannot edit source” does that mean i can’t add a button to that section?

for example:

blender1
blender13840×2160 1.25 MB

i have made a button but i want to put it in the transform panel. any way to find out how?

I believe based on my own previous attempts (but not positive) that you cannot append the transform panel, as it’s generated from source.
