How do I go about hiring Blender Talent?

I’m not sure where to post this, but this seemed like the best place. I’ve got an indie film project that needs some digitial effects. I’m nowhere near good enough with Blender to do what I need myself, but I though it might be possible to hire one of the many blender hotshots on this forum. I don’t have a lot of money, but I do have some.

Can anyone tell me how this is normally done? I can’t imagine I’m the first to ask. If it’s a tacky or forbidden question, I apologize to all–I didn’t see any guidelines about it.

If I CAN post about jobs, can someone let me know what I should post and where?

Help!

well I think it’s the good place!

First off, do you need someone living near you?
Second, well just want to know how much you’ll pay

Your question and post is fine and in a good forum for responses. I’m sure a few Blender users will be interested, depending on how busy they are on their own projects. What kind of effects, modeling ect do you need? A few simple details may get you responses from the people who have the skills in the areas you need. Good luck in your project.

Try VK’s tutorial links. They don’t have a forum or anything, but you might be able to get some Blender-ing talent fast. Judging from me posting, he ought to show up in this one.

I would be happy to help you out on your movie-project.
It just depends on the level of effects you wish to use in the movie and the ammount of money you’re willing to pay for it.
It’s also convenient but not strictly neccessary if we are geographically close to each other so that we could get together to discuss artistic and pratical issues.
